At Fillmore East is the first live album by American rock band the Allman Brothers Band, and their third release overall. As the title indicates, the recording took place at the New York City music venue Fillmore East, which was run by concert promoter Bill Graham. This album was one of 50 recordings chosen in 2004 by the Library of Congress to be added to the National Recording Registry. Rolling Stone included at number 49 in their 2003 list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, describing it as "Rock's greatest live double LP". The album was also included in the books "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" and "1000 Recordings To Hear Before You Die".

We're an American Band was released at the peak of Grand Funk's skyward trajectory through the 1970s. The classic title track, written by the band's drummer Dan Brewer, kicks off the album with hedonistic storytelling and a party spirit. Producer Todd Rundgren helped make this album one of the band's most polished and commercial sounding, and a favourite with their fans.

Ignaz Lachner’s superb arrangements of Mozart’s piano concertos are well known, but his brother Vinzenz Lachner’s arrangements of Beethoven’s concertos are a rarity, though equally as valuable.

Maestro Beatrice Venezi, one of the few women in the world to conduct orchestras at an international level, releases her new project HEROINES on the Warner Music Italia label. In this new work, Venezi avails herself of the collaboration of the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento. Heroines comes after My Journey - Puccini's Symphonic Works, and is a reference to the message of female empowerment always present in the Maestro's communication.

Blake Shelton is releasing a deluxe edition of his latest album, Body Language, on Dec. 3. The expanded project features four new tracks, including collaborations with Brooks & Dunn and Hardy, as well as a love song written with longtime friend Craig Wiseman. The deluxe edition also features his brand new single “Come Back As A Country Boy,” which was just released at country radio. The original Body Language album has already yielded the Platinum-certified No. 1 “Happy Anywhere” with Shelton’s wife, Gwen Stefani.

Béla Bartók’s formative years as a composer in Budapest were stimulated by fashionable musical salons hosted by the wealthy Emma Gruber (later Zoltán Kodály’s wife). His landmark Rhapsody, Op. 1 is dedicated to Gruber, while the earlier Variations are a romantic homage to his talented colleague Felicie Fábián, composer of the theme. The virtuoso Études focus on hand flexibility for pianists – the pieces For Children are based on Hungarian and Slovak peasant songs partly collected by Bartók.

Vincent Persichetti’s organ music holds an important place in 20th-century repertoire. Steeped in tradition and yet open to the currents of modernity, he developed a thoroughly distinctive musical language. The selections from his Hymns and Responses for the Church Year, Op. 68 explore traditional form with a refreshing harmonic palette, while the Dryden Liturgical Suite contrasts meditative elements with virtuoso bravura.

Gottlieb Muffat was the most important Viennese harpsichord composer of the 18th century. He inherited and developed a compound style that fused high Italian Baroque with the lightness of the French school. From his father, Georg – one of the greatest organ and orchestral composers of his own generation – Gottlieb absorbed a gift for ballet movements. This is the third and final volume in Naoko Akutagawa’s critically acclaimed series of Muffat’s Harpsichord Suites.

“Refractio” is a project that generates a dialogue between the performance of a work and an improvisation in response. Just as light transforms its appearance when it changes medium, the musical work is also diluted within the improvisation, which in a certain way deconstructs what the listener has just heard and builds it up again using a contemporary language.

After three albums of raw, rabble-rousing psychedelic street punk with the Deviants, and an esoteric solo album (1970's Mona - The Carnivorous Circus), Mick Farren put his musical activities on hold at the dawn of the 1970s, and focused instead on his writing. By 1976 Farren was making his mark as a staff writer at the New Musical Express, where he was instrumental in chronicling, and to some extent nurturing, the nascent punk rock movement as it jerked awkwardly to life in the streets and pubs of London.

Singer and songwriter Percy Mayfield is one of the giants of 1950s R&B. He was also the favoured songwriter of Ray Charles who handed him ‘Hit The Road Jack’ and ‘At The Club’. Walking on a Tightrope is his only album for Brunswick originally released in 1969. This is the first time ever this album has been reissued. Digitally remastered.
