Violinist presents album celebrating 20 years of career in trio with pianist Fábio Leandro and drummer and percussionist Pedro Ito.

Sesc Pompeia will be the stage for the launch of Sonhando o Brasil, the 11th album by violinist Ricardo Herz, on July 26th, at 9 pm, when the album will also be available on digital platforms. Composed of previously unreleased songs, this work is an engaging journey through rhythms and sounds that make up the vibrant essence of Brazil, such as coco, maracatu, frevo, samba, xote, the Afro-Brazilian vassi, among many others. The show will feature a special appearance by Lea Freire.

In this work, which celebrates the musical richness of an imaginary country, Herz, known for his exceptional skill on the violin and fiddle, is joined by a cast of talented musicians in a new trio formation, with Pedro Ito on drums and percussion, and Fábio Leandro on piano. This musical synergy is further expanded with the special appearances of Lea Freire on flute, Tatiana Parra on vocals and Zé Luís Nascimento on percussion, who also participate in the album, adding layers of depth and texture to Herz's characteristic sound.

Sonhando o Brasil is also a celebration of 20 years of a career dedicated to music and art. Since his first album as a soloist, Ricardo Herz has enchanted audiences with his unique expression and his passion for Brazilian music. This album marks a new phase in his journey, an opportunity to reflect on the past and glimpse the future.

The album is an expression of an imaginary country where joy, spontaneity, dance and love flow freely. “I chose the best of our country: joy, spontaneity, dance, melodies, affection, receptivity, generosity and love,” Herz reflects, and concludes, “in these crazy times we live in, both internally and externally, I hope my music is full of this good side, fighting for the celebration of life in community.”

From conception to final production, Sonhando o Brasil was a meticulous process. Each step, from writing the project to recording, mixing and production, was carried out with artisanal care and attention to detail. The songs reflect not only Herz’s evolution as a musician and person throughout his career, but also the wealth of influences and experiences that shaped his unique musical vision. Longtime friends, new friends and some of his idols were part of this project.
