Jazz pianist Song Young-joo's 10th studio album Atmosphere

Pianist Song Young-ju is back with a full-length album. It's been 4 years since the piano solo album [Late Fall] in 2018. And this is the first new album in 8 years since [Between] in 2014. Song Young-joo spent her own time of solitude and reflection in an environment of music activities cut off from the outside during the corona virus. These feelings were expressed and completed through the music of Gothrani.

Song Young-ju, through the 10th album [Atmosphere], as a jazz pianist representing Korea, advances to the completion of a more delicate and emotional musical expression, and provides a deeper impression with music. While dancing alone, enjoying solitude as a cherry blossom, her music did not stop even when everything stopped. The thoughts about the past, present, and future that I looked back on myself were added with the freedom of improvisation and the harmony between the performers.

This album brings together longtime musical colleagues who are at the heart of New York jazz. Vicente Archer from the Robert Glassper Trio on bass, Marcus Gilmore on drums from the Chick Korea Band and Pet Messini Trio, and John Ellis on the tenor saxophone from [Reflection] (John Ellis) once again worked together to add strength to the work.
