    Wir wissen ja nicht, was jüngst in Dublin vor sich ging. In jedem Fall konnte die Bayerische Akademie der Schönen Künste mit dieser Produktion mithalten. Mindestens. Am 2. Februar 1922 erschien der Roman "Ulysses" des Ur-Dubliners James Joyce, pünktlich ein Jahrhundert später kommt diese Aufführung des Spätwerks "Yes I Will Yes" von Dieter Schnebel.

    Der Komponist hatte in seinen letzten Lebensjahren an der Vertonung des inneren Monologs der Molly Bloom gearbeitet, der mit 60 Seiten den Roman beschließt. "Vertonung" ist zu wenig, denn Schnebel transformierte den Text, der kaum Punkte und Kommata enthält, vielmehr in eine szenische Version.
