Elisabeth Melander is acclaimed for her deeply personal and soulful expression in jazz as well as in soul and gospel, with a breadth both vocally and in terms of genre. Elisabeth has since the age of 15 toured, recorded and participated in countless radio and TV programs.

On " Notes from within” – Elisabeth Melander's sequel to ”Reflections of a Voice” – Elisabeth has been carrying out a dream for a long time – a recording with Piano Trio and String Quartet. The own compositions have been the main idea along with some favorite songs that have been reworked. The project was given another dimension when Lars Jansson, jazz pianist and old friend of Elisabeth, got in touch and wondered if she wanted to write text for some of his compositions.

The album's title refers to the depth and emotion through every moment of the music. In the composing and in the musical process, the continuous effort has been directed to a special soloist and instrument for the various songs. Therefore, some of Elisabeth's favorite soloists, who are also some of the country's very best, are included on the album and give the various songs another dimension of feeling and presence. All in all, it is a soulful variety of music, personal lyrics, different moods and voices.
