    Following the thread of the violin, Agnes Pyka crosses four centuries of music. Versatile instrument, sometimes dancing, or virtuoso, the violin is also the link between different musical aesthetics.

    In Bach's Partita, which honors the popular chaconne of Hispanic origin, the violin symbolizes the peak of Baroque art, offering the musician a rich range of techniques of this period. At Khachaturian, he evokes Balkan folklore, while Thierry de Mey makes it the instrument of a surprising variation of the very "courteous" Passacaille.
